An Indian government document revealed that the authorities have intensified their monitoring of the Telegram platform due to concerns related to its use in electronic fraud and the publication of illegal content.
Reuters said that a report issued by the Cybercrime Coordination Center of the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs indicated More than 688,000 electronic fraud complaints related to the use of Telegram have been recorded since 2023, with estimates of financial losses amounting to about $750 million.
