The market value of the Egyptian Stock Exchange exceeded 4.3 trillion pounds, coinciding with the market’s preparations to receive a new group of government offerings, according to statements by the Chairman of the Egyptian Stock Exchange, Omar Radwan.

Radwan said that the average value of daily trading in the market reached about 10 billion pounds, indicating that the stock exchange’s performance reflects the development of liquidity levels and the expansion of the investor base.

Expected government offerings include Banque du Caire and Misr Life Insurance Company, as part of a broader program to offer shares of state-owned companies on the stock exchange.

The government is targeting the programme The proposals expand the ownership base and increase private sector participation, in addition to providing additional sources of financing for companies and enhancing the role of the capital market in the Egyptian economy.
