The average liquidity outstanding on the Egyptian Stock Exchange has increased to about 9 billion pounds since the beginning of 2026, compared to an average of 3.5 billion pounds during the previous year, an increase of approximately 157%, according to statements by the Chairman of the Stock Exchange, Omar Radwan.
Radwan explained that the liquidity was within one week at the beginning of September It ranged between 15 and 18 billion pounds on average, and the market value of the stock market increased by about 137 billion pounds during the same period.
The market also witnessed the entry of about 450,000 new investors during the first eight months of 2026, compared to about 300,000 investors during the same period in 2025.
